We’ve compiled a list of the Top 100 BitTorrent websites of 2007, according to Alexa’s traffic ranking. Note that some Alexa-ranked sites are not included in the list for being temporarily or permanently offline (i.e. Demonoid.com, Oink.cd) even though they are still recognized by Alexa, Google, and major search engines. Some porn sites and ‘non-english’ torrent sites were also left off this list.
Hi-lighted listings denote websites with private trackers (require login/signup). 47 of the Top 100 are private sites.
The websites listed below only serve up .torrent files – related BitTorrent ’software’ sites are not included. Data source: Alexa and Google: Dec. 2007.

About Alexa.com: Alexa statistics have always been eyed as questionable at best. Since there is no universally accepted benchmark for traffic statistics, we wanted the results to reflect a more ‘global’ approach – Compete.com and Quantcast.com statistics rely heavily on U.S.-generated traffic metrics. However corrupt or genuine Alexa’s data may be is not significant for this demonstration: the purpose is to show one BitTorrent website’s popularity over another.
